| The Department of Agriculture Presents Second Annual Fruit Festival |

Representatives from the Department of Agriculture
as well as agro-processors from all over the island came out to the
Villa on Friday 30th July to display and sell their
Agricultural products. Amid the fruits and vegetables that were
available were products such as preserves, honey, handmade soaps
and various wines. Also available were locally made
jewelry and other goods made from all natural items (seeds

Miss Coastal Air Transport Verna Grant
turned in a stunning performance to walk away with the title of
Miss Culture 2010 which was held at the Cultural
Complex.
The pageant, which had seen six
beautiful and intelligent young women vying for the crown, was
scheduled for 8:00 p.m. at the Nevis Cultural Complex but got off

| Nevis Remembers Christena Disaster with Memorial Service |

NEVIS remembers the 236 lives that were lost and
the 99 survivor’s, with a Memorial Service to commemorate the 40th
Anniversary of the MV Christena Disaster which took place on August
1, 1970. The service was held on Sunday, August 1st
on Samuel Hunkins

| St. Thomas’ Primary takes Youth Talented Pageant by Storm |
| It was a celebratory night for the students of
the St. Thomas Primary school
as both their representatives; Chestlyn Maloney and Zarima Alcendor
were respectively crowned Mr. and Ms Talented Youth. The event
which took place on Thursday, July 29 at the Cultural Complex was
the inauguration of a new judging style where the participants are
