| A PROGRAMME FOR GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT |

The
Federation urgently requires a program for growth and development.
This is the responsibility of the Federal Government. The country
is being fed a continuous diet of misleading information as to the
economic malaise which faces this Nation. The National Debt now
stands at EC$3billion. The debt service ratio is 187% of Gross
Domestic Product and climbing. The Debt service is EC188 million
(2009 Budget estimates). This is 47% of recurrent revenue. It

| Powder for Pretty? |
It wasn’t long ago that I was
compelled to write an article about the distasteful fashion trend –
of wearing their pants way too far below their waists - which our
young men seem to have so unwittingly adopted. All of a sudden I
realised that I was being very biased in that while I openly
ridiculed the young men’s dress code I overlooked a very similar
trend in the likes of young ladies. Powered chest is what I call
the absurd excuse to look fresh or whatever the case may
be.
